Industrial Metals

We supply the following materials of this group:

  • Copper and copper alloy
  • Bronze and brass materials
  • Nickel and nickel alloys
  • Zinc and zinc alloys
  • Tin and tin alloys

Industrial metals, because of their significant importance have each generated their own specific independent industries. According to a broader definition, in general; metals used by industries are grouped under the term ‘industrial metals’.

Since the concept of industrial metals is not scientifically but historically characterised, industrial metals contain the most varied physical and chemical properties.

Industrial metals are applied, for instance, in machine construction, the automotive industry, the building industry, the electronic industry, the steel industry, the jewellery making industry, and nearly all areas of the metal processing industry.

Some applications of these metals would include the use of copper for electric conductors and heat exchangers, bronzes for electric contact parts, bearings, and gearwheels, nickel for production of stainless steel, usage in superalloys for combustion turbines or for jet engines, for galvanisation, of zinc for blooming of surfaces and die casting, or of tin as corrosion prevention on so-called tin plates or in cylinder blocks or in other components of the automotive industry.
